Our success story began in 2002 with just one employee. Since then we have grown to about 450 employees working every day to ensure our customers are satisfied. We have developed from a specialised online retailer in the cycling sector to one of the leading e-commerce platforms in continental Europe with a focus on the premium segment.
With every wheel set, pedal and functional jacket we sell, we help our customers use their bikes more often and so travel more sustainably. Our strategy for success goes beyond our product range, which is unparalleled in its depth and breadth. We also score points with our customer-friendly service and lightning-fast shipping. Since many of our team are enthusiastic cyclists themselves, we can also offer our customers the best advice. This allows us to address the rapidly growing group of everyday cyclists as well as cycling enthusiasts.

Departments at BIKE24.
The back office is a key pillar of our day-to-day business. The department checks incoming orders and prepares them for smooth order processing. It also undertakes essential inspection tasks afterwards to ensure everything is in order.
Whenever our customers have a problem, our customer service is always there to help by e-mail or telephone. From order changes to order status queries to technical problems or even specific product advice – the tasks are different every day. With a generous helping of creativity, our customer service department can always find an answer.
Our product managers are always on the trail of new brands to ensure a diverse product portfolio. The company purchasing department is the hotline to our suppliers and keeps an eye on our products’ availability. Together they maintain the goods cycle and ensure an abundant supply of goods.
Product data management
Our customers can find all the important information they need to make a good purchase decision thanks to our product data management team. From the text to the image, from the weight to the material specifications – product data management brings our item descriptions to life. The various teams check all the details thoroughly and give the go-ahead for the product to appear in our online shop.
To ensure that shopping at BIKE24 is always an enjoyable experience, our developers continuously update the online shop and keep it in good order. Our IT maintains, updates, develops and networks the in-house and integrated systems and lays the foundation for everything to run like clockwork.
In marketing, our creative minds put their heads together to give BIKE24 a strong presence. They monitor trends on the bike scene and captivate our fans with product news in our newsletter, interesting content on social media and even put on cycling events.
When it comes to cash flows, our accounting department holds the reins. Handling customer and supplier payments, payroll accounting, balance sheets and annual financial statements – the department manages a wide range of tasks and watches over the company's figures with an eagle eye.
The HR department is the number one contact for our applicants and accompanies them through the application process all the way to employment. The HR team is also on hand if our employees have any queries. The department runs the show in terms of administrative tasks, training projects and health management.
Our shipping department is the hub of our online shop. In the areas of incoming and outgoing goods, storage, picking, inspection and order processing, our large shipping team works towards one goal: happy BIKE24 customers.
If a customer does not like a product, our returns department is ready. Before the items are returned to the warehouse, they are thoroughly inspected and immaculately prepared and arranged. Exceptional and tricky cases are dealt with here too. If there is a complaint, the team clarifies the matter with the appropriate experts.
To ensure our customers can start using their freshly purchased bike as quickly as possible, it is pre-assembled in our shipping workshop. If it needs to be a little more special, our bike experts modify the bicycle according to the customer's wishes to create their true dream item.
In our Dresden shop in Löbtau, we present and sell selected products at attractive online prices. We not only have our sales staff there to offer help and advice, but our mechanics work their magic in the shop's in-house workshops as well. Product advice, bike fitting, pre-assembly, inspection and repair – the BIKE24 stores offer excellent service all round.
